Pray for Haiti

All of us have been shocked and stirred by the images coming from the nation of Haiti, which two weeks ago was victim to a terrible erarthquake that has killed and wounded tens of thousands. Many people, churchs, christians and mission organizations already are responding seeking to minister in Christ's name in the face of such tragedy. Dr. Albert Mohler said in his radio commentary, "The images streaming from Haiti look like scenes from Daintes Inferno." The scale of the calamity is unprecedented the 7.0 earthquake came like a nightmare, with the city of Port-Au-Prince crumbling, entire villages collapsing, bodies flying in the air and crushed under mountains of debris. Without power, communication has been cut off and rescue efforts are seriously hindered. Bodies are pilling up and being buried hope is running out for survivors being discovered and help though on the way will not arrive in time for many victims. People ask, preacher what can we do to help. This week when you have that old sleepless night, take the time to pray for Haiti. Ask God to allow you to bear their burden with them and offer your working hours as a sacrifice of prayer. God is the one who is able to open the roads so congested with debris. He is able to make connections between relief shipments and those in need. He is able to bring rest to the weary and comfort to the hearts of those grieving.
